Marble Pound Cake
Difficulty Level: Easy
Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Cooking Time: 1 hour
Servings: 16
The coffee adds a rich intensity to the chocolate flavour. This cake is so simple to throw together, and is always a family favourite! In fact, it's so easy to make, I think it will become your favourite as well.

Ingredients

2          cups sugar

2          cups flour

1          cup oil

2          tsp baking powder

            Pinch of salt

1          tsp vanilla

6          eggs

2          tsp coffee

2          Tbsp boiling water

1/4       cup cocoa

1/4       cup chocolate syrup

Directions

1.  Preheat oven to 350 degrees

2.  In the bowl of an electric mixer, place the first 7 ingredients and mix until well combined.

3.   In a separate bowl, place the coffee, and dissolve in boiling water.  Add the cocoa and chocolate syrup, and mix until combined.  Add 1 cup of white batter to chocolate mix, and mix until well combined.

4.  Spray a bundt cake pan well with baking spray (oil mixed with flour). Pour the white batter into the greased pan, add chocolate batter, and swirl gently with a knife to combine, about 5 – 6 strokes.  Bake for 1 hour. Let cool for 5 minutes in the pan, and then hold a plate at the top of the pan, and flip over.
