1 cup split peas
1 cup red lentils
1 cup yellow split peas
1 cup pearl barley
1 tbsp soup mix no msg
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp white pepper
Small pinch of cinnamon
Small pinch of all spice
2 tsp. Mrs. Dash – seasoning blend – containing tomato, basil and garlic
1 tbsp. kosher salt
Place 18 cups of water into a large pot. Add the contents of the jar (not spice bag) bring to a boil and reduce heat- simmer for about ½ hour. Add contents of spice packets, stir and simmer for ½ hour more.
