Crock Pot Candied Pecans

Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 4 hours
Servings: 5 cups
The combination of cinnamon, vanilla, nutmeg, cloves, ginger and orange zest will fill your house with the classic aromas of the winter season. Happy Chanukah!

Ingredients

5 cups pecan halves
1 egg white
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 Tbsp ground cinnamon
2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
1/2 tsp ground cloves
1/4 tsp ground ginger
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 tsp orange zest
1/4 cup water

Directions

1.  Combine all ingredients in a crock pot and stir to combine.


 


2.  Set crock pot on low for 4 hours, stirring occasionally.


 


3.  Pour cooked nuts on to a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper and set aside to cool and harden for 30 minutes.
