"My favorite part of Suzie Fishbein’s latest book “Cooking Coach” is the playbook, where I can double the recipes without the family feeling like they're eating leftovers again. I like that the book has directions as to what can be frozen and for how long, and which parts of the recipe can be frozen at what intervals. The techniques and demonstration pictures are clear and very beautiful. I make the cauliflower popcorn almost every single week, so the tip on what pan to use has been extremely useful, and made a big difference. All in all, a great book for everyone."

"As always, Susie Fishbein put together a wonderful cookbook with lots of insightful ideas and recipes. I love how she shows you how to stock your kitchen, as I am usually one who has to run to the store every day. I also really love how she shows you to transfer leftovers into new meals. There are so many beautiful pictures and each recipe is written out very clear and concisely. She definitely is thinking outside the box in this book with interesting and unusual ingredients. She also shows some beautiful plating ideas and concepts, such as always having an odd number on each plate (it's more visually appealing), using white or earth tone dishes to allow the food to really take center stage, and using the same herb that is in the dish as a garnish on top. I also love how she has converted some traditional non-kosher recipes (crab cakes and figs and prosciutto) into kosher attainable versions. Susie puts an upscale twist on some classics -(Crustless Meat and Onion Pie, Buffalo Chicken Salad, and Southern Fried Chicken). She even includes a recipe for Chocolate Almond Smooches (Almond kisses!!) which I too remember enjoying as a kid from the chocolate sales. I have tried out a couple recipes so far, such as the Gooey Walnut Brownie Pie and the Herb Roasted Baby Peppers. The pie was very easy to make (it uses a Dunkin Heinz mix!!) and tasted pretty good as well. The peppers came out great (I couldn't stop eating them); the roasting brought out the natural sweetness in those yummy peppers. I can't wait to try out more recipes from this unique cookbook."

"I think this cookbook by Susie Fishbein is great. She has created mini cooking classes throughout the book on various topics. I like how she divided the topics in between the recipes and provides great information to help you be a better cook and more invested in the recipes. I made the Caramel Apple Cake on page 304. It was delicious and my family loved it. My cake did not come out with the same appealing design as she produced on the cake in the picture. I think I would put more of the caramel vin the bottom of the pan next time to increase the caramel flavor in the cake, and use less for the drizzling effect at the end. This was easy to make and the directions were perfect. I would totally make this for Rosh Hashana next year - it was a big hit!"
