How many of us rely on chicken, at least a few times a week? The fact is chicken is a healthy source of protein, quick and easy to make, relatively inexpensive and extremely versatile. Why, then, do we end up in a recipe rut, relying on the same few tried and true recipes. Probably because we know our families like them and will gobble (no pun intended!!) them up lickety split. Chicken, though, adapts so well to so many different cuisines, it would take weeks if not months, to exhaust the flavour combinations.
Globally, chicken is a preferred main course and so whether you like Asian, Thai, Italian or South American, there is a chicken dish for you. We’ve mined all the different possibilities and permutations and come up with four delicious takes on chicken, one from Portugal, fiery and tangy with hot pepper flakes and lemon, and another from Asia, redolent with fresh ginger, soy sauce and five-spice powder. The other recipes hail from Indonesia and Italy, both bursting with authentic flavours and ease. We’re sure they will all help to increase that weekly repertoire of chicken dishes and bring smiles to those seated around your kitchen table.
