- 1 pkt Chicken schnitzel (chicken breasts) -
- 1 egg -
- black pepper -
- garlic powder -
- bread crumbs/cornflour for gluten free variation -
- 1 green pepper, cut into chunks -
- 1 onion , cut into chunks -
- 1 hand full pineapple chunks -
- 9 TBS vinegar -
- 10 TBS ketchup -
- 10 TBS sugar -
- ( The secret of the recipe is constantly cooking on high flame so have that in mind! ) -
First, prepare the chicken: cut chicken into medium chunks ( like bite size chunks), in a bowl mix the egg and spices. dip the chicken chunks first into egg mixture than roll in crumbs / cornflour. heat oil in pan and fry chicken on high flame. the chicken can be 3/4 cooked inside as long as the chicken gets crispy on the outside. Put aside fried chicken.
Meanwhile, prepare the sauce: In a skillet / frying pan on high flame heat 1 tsp oil . When oil is hot add the onion, mix than add the green pepper, mix. and immidiatly add the pineapple chunks. give the veg a quick mix ( the vegetables get glossy on the out side and stay crispy) add the ketchup, sugar and vinegar mix and add the schnitzel.
While the pans on the flame, keep mixing for an additional 3-4 minutes till dish is mixed well. and your Authentic dish is ready! 'njoy!
