“Best of Season” is a new blog that will help you make the best of what produce is available each season. Cooking with the seasons is a good idea for many reasons. First and foremost, the fruit or veggie is at its peak, making it the most flavorful and tasty it will ever be. It’s also economical, as seasonal items tend to have lower prices, as they are in abundance, and are often grown closer to home. Many of us live in cities, where grocery stores are our main source for produce. Many cities do have farmers markets, or some farms that are closer to the outskirts that sell homegrown products. I believe they are worth the travel time, especially when you get to pick them yourselves!
