This tastes so good, that we ate it straightaway after marinating, before it was even grilled!
- 4 Tbsp rice vinegar -
- 4 Tbsp soy sauce -
- 3 Tbsp sesame oil -
- 3 Tbsp honey -
- ½ tsp freshly grated ginger (or ¼ tsp dry) -
- ½ tsp dry mustard -
- sesame seeds -
- 1 pkg tofu (1 lb/450 grams) -
Mix together all marinade ingredients. Cut tofu into cubes and add to marinade. Marinate overnight or at least for a few hours. Remove from marinade and grill for a few minutes on each side, until pieces look golden brown. It you like tofu more dried, as opposed to spongy, grill a little longer.
Options: Serve over brown rice, drizzling marinade. Toss with steamed broccoli, carrots, and sprouts as a real wholesome dish. You can even stir marinated tofu into a “typical” lettuce salad and up the protein, texture, and taste a whole lot!
